Seven Virtues is a coffee roaster and cafe started by a husband and wife team in Portland Oregon. We are a small family business and that is how we run our shops. We care about what we do and our crew is our family.

WHAT IS OUR VISION?
In 2007, Seven Virtues was started with a vision to create a positive warm space while pairing high quality coffee drinks with both sweet and savory dishes.
WHAT IS THE SEVEN VIRTUES ABOUT?
No there is no religious affiliation what so ever!
With our focus on creating an inviting space, we named our business Seven Virtues. The seven virtues we chose are compassion, humility, forgiveness, kindness, honesty, patience and gratitude. The hope is that one person will embrace a virtue while in our space and help them move forward with their day life in a positive way!
OUR COFFEE
We don’t do blends! We are a dedicated single origin coffee roaster. We believe in letting the individual characteristic and flavors of a single origin bean shine. Read more about our coffee story here…
OUR FOOD
Coffee is fantastic by itself, but it’s even better with good food.
Bagel and coffee is a no brainer, especially coming from someone who grew up in Queens, NY! We are picky about our bagels here at SV. We make our breakfast bagel sandwiches made to order with fresh ingredients made in our kitchen. We value the importance of using pure and healthy ingredients that are minimally processed.
WE BAKE TOO!
Since 2014, we have been baking our own line of gluten free and vegan pastries thanks to our fantastic baker! We think are pastries are quite delicious! We love exploring new recipes and will continue to expand our line of products.
Our new location on Hawthorne is dedicated to serving gluten free & vegan pastries and has more selections. North Tabor & Zipper also has a limited selection of our house made pastries.
WHAT OTHER THINGS DO?

We cook up our own chai every week. Our recipe was specially formulated by one of our team members from India and it has a perfect balance of sweet and spicy.
Yup, at Seven Virtues, we enjoy the art of making things from scratch!
Our syrup flavors, chocolate, caramel sauces, and spreads for our sandwiches are also all made from our kitchen.
Many of our ingredients are freshly prepared right in our kitchen which allows us to control our ingredients and create foods rich with flavor and depth.
